I thought that this piece in the reading was very cool. I thought it was interesting how the author used moments from the past to help create an idea and plot for a book he was creating at the time. In the beginning he said that others may look at his notebook as incoherent and messy but obviously. It seems to me that the naked writing he did when his defenses were down allowed him to create an idea that he had scribbled onto many pages along with ideas that were maybe not worth writing down.
